Group Nurse Corps Bates. Condition excellent. LARGE grouping of a Nurses Corps woman whom entered in service in WWII. Named “Virginia Bates”. Retired in 1962 as a Commander in the Navy. Many personal items and paperwork. Full jacket, dress and dress blue service cap. Dog Tags, cuff links also.
A Nurses School pin of graduation dated 1940 is also included. Paper from Kodiak, Alaska of her retirement. This is a very nice grouping of a Long career of a female Naval Nurse. Also includes some promotion awards.
Also the uniform appears to be from the late 1950s. All correct and most likely the one worn at retirement ceremonies. Several ORIGINAL photos of ceremony are included. No research has been done.
