Sling British WWI 1918. Condition used. Sling is in nice flexible condition. no cracks or weak spots. Used on the P14 and Enfield’s issued in WWI. Correct for both models. Looks to have a strong London reissue or restock date of 1922. BUT on closer examination it says

Sling British WWI 1918. Condition used. Sling is in nice flexible condition. no cracks or weak spots. Used on the P14 and Enfield’s issued in WWI. Correct for both models. Looks to have a strong London reissue or restock date of 1922. BUT on closer examination it says “John Doyle (or Boyle) Co. 1918 on the right side as seen. Very light but 1918 firm date.

These slings like other equipment were checked and reissued later on if in good working condition. Would make a great WARTIME sling for the Enfield you are trying to complete. Also both leather and web type were used on the trenches. Depended on what they had to issue.
