Badge shooting battle star. Condition excellent. World War 2 produced in Sterling as marked with original pin back and barrel catch. Everything is just picture perfect as a WWII Army shooting badge for a Carbine qualifier of Marksman. BUT we have a Star attached for a unknown reason.
Identical application like a jump wing would be seen. Unauthorized on any of them technically during WWII. I have no clue but period done. Maybe a sniper? confirmed 1 kill? you tell me or just add it to the unknown pile of what a soldier was thinking in WWII to fancy up his uniform.
