WOMAN LT ARC MOTOR SERV WOMANS DRESS, CAP AND PURSE. Incredible grouping that consists of the dress, cap and purse. Excellent condition and with the original patches and 1st lieutenant rank on the epaulets. Purse is in the same material as the uniform and a scarce accessory to find.
This has the 1942 to 1945 motor service patch on the left sleeve. The ARC woman Lt rank is early and with the snowflake pattern on the back. The purse has 2 small snags on the back, but the rest is in great used condition. The collar flashes have the rope cord down the middle and original to the uniform as correct for a driver.
Buttons are a black Bakelite material and all present. These are in a double row down the double-breasted rayon uniform. The cap for the driver has an enameled volunteer pin on the front within the “V” front material decoration. Manufactured by KNOX and a size 23. Cap has 2 moth nips but under the visor so not seen when displayed.
Looks to be in a nice medium size. These ARC war volunteers were one of the most useful parts of the home front effort to help the soldiers in the states.
