Saber Knot Enl Cavalry. Condition used nice. It has its spots of wear and a couple of cracked areas. Still has good flexibility. Could be placed on a sword. Looks like the regulation pattern with a few noticeable differences. Also bottom ball placed on like a bell with looped movement.
Top has a swivel type loop for flexibility on sword (may be later replacement but looks good). All the braiding and the tassels are identical to the others usually encountered. Guaranteed period as it was purchased also on a family sword. Very hard item to find to complete a Enlisted cavalry saber of the Civil War.
