Description

PARKA COLD WEATHER TYPE 1948. Part of the cold weather gear of the Korean War.  Used with the winter insulated trousers and jackets.  It provided another layer to not get the wet onto the battle clothing you were wearing. Excellent condition with a wear on one bottom cuff that has torn a bit.

A nice stitching should easily repair.  Kind of like the collars on a M41 jacket get due to the thin material.  Well marked as a 1943 pattern.  Well dated 1948. These are a tough find for a Korean War era collector and well documented in photos in the field.
