MEDAL SILVER STAR BBB

Description

MEDAL SILVER STAR BBB. Excellent conditon split wrapped broach Silver Star medal. It is marked on the ring with “BBB PHILI”.  Numbered on the side 22253.  The ribbon is crisp and with light yellowing as I have seen this early issue do often.  Issued to WWI soldiers in 1932 that received the Silver Star Citation.

A very hard to find medal being a early issue.  Also awarded in early WWII due to they had extras from the 1932 issue ones.  A incredible medal including the hand sewn ribbon bar with it.
