Medal 1965 Joint Comm In original box Complete. This medal, according to the books was first authorized for use in 1963. This medal Box is dated January 1965. Still in the original plastic case with the gray cloth slipcover. The original box is maker marked and dated on the end.

This medal is possibly from the first run after the defense department authorized it. I have always thought this to be one of the more striking looking medals of the armed services.
