M67 Grenade INERT 72

Description

M67 Grenade INERT 72. Condition Unused (HA-HA). Totally inert with no Fuze or primer of any kind. M213 marked spoon with a October 1972 date. inside striker is present. rubber washer is original to grenade. Pull pin is original also the thumb safety.

Original fragmentation body. Painted over sometime in the past. Traces of the original OD paint I did find. NO markings are left. Also to the right collector this could be corrected and stenciled on easily. VERY SCARCE to find a M67 Fragmentation body. Completely empty with NO filling and looks not to have ever had. Inside reveals the breakaway casting matrix. Also the outside bottom.

Start production of these were in 1968 so this is an early example as well. Container is marked January 1973 making a production match for time. Very nice piece of INERT ordnance.
