Fully woven tag sewn on outside to this experimental cap. It is almost a fulfilled dream to ANY head gear collector to see such a piece. Most would have been tossed away after the trials. These would have been produced in VERY small numbers to see how the troops liked them. These did not have the ear flaps. That may have been one of the additions made after the trials.
