GRENADE VEST 1918 GROSS. This grenade carrier was made to wear on the soldier\’s chest. It carried a total of 11 grenades of various manufacture like the VB and the MKI. Intended for assault troops going over the top.  These vests have also been seen manufactured in WWII with dates like 1942.  Not many were ever used but this one is in MINT unissued condition.
