Cap VF19 Spooky wings

Description

Cap VF19 Spooky wings. Condition excellent used. Used due to the light fading to the cap. Considered what I want to see in a field theater worn cap. Size 7. Dated contract 1964. Name is partially seen due to hands taking cap off and adjusting. Wings are Theater Made hand cut and chiseled. Look at edge for detail. Appears to be a brass overlay of possibly silver.

Shows clear shadow of were they have been on for years. VF-19 was  Navy unit that flew the Orion and other ships. Carrying powerful radar and magnetic sensors for Subs early war. Moved inland for surveillance and other Spook type missions. Google search of “Spook VF-19” and others will tell rest for you. Incredible cap that family brought me in with other unrelated gear.

Cap really fits in to the rarity of a Mud river, of SF beret category. I have NEVER seen or could find another set of these theater made SPOOK wings for this unit.
