IDENTIFIED 35TH DIVISION SOLDIERS PRIVATE FIELD BINOCULARS IN CASE:  The Military asked the Civilian population for binoculars in WWI due to we had none when we Started overseas.  This is one such pair of French made.  Carved on front with "Co. K 138th Inf" and the insignia. On bottom is his name and number. Oliver cope was overseas from 5/18 to 4/19.  His copy of service record is included. Rank Corporal.

RARE 1918 DATED COPPER PRIMER BOX FOR NAVAL TORPEDOES:  If you collect WWI Naval or ordinance items, this has to be one of the rarest boxes of the period.  Opened and empty this box still has the separators inside.  About 5 x 3 inches by 4 inches high.  This held a 45/70 type blank that was used to arm the torpedoes of WWI.  A belt was issued to carry these primers in also.  Feb. 1918 dated and well marked to torpedo station.

ORIGINAL ROLL OF SPLINT WIRE FOR THE MEDICS FIRST AID SATCHELS:  these were carried in the pre-WWI medics satchels and also they would be carried by the WWI medics in the trenches in the medics pack with other extra items the belts did not carry.  Excellent original still tied with copper wire roll.
